BBC Talent StandupThe BBC are on the lookout for new talent for the 'BBC New Comedy Awards 2004'.  This is the ideal launch-pad for anyone in the UK with a cutting edge new stand-up act.  If you're a budding stand-up star, then send a tape of your performance by 3rd Sepetmber, and if you're funny enough they will invite you to a regional heat.

The really, really funny entrants will reach the semi final and final on BBC7 and be featured on a Radio 4 programme based on the final.  The really, really, really funny are even in with a chance to be featured on Radio 1's new comedy show The Milk Run.

BBC Talent are offering prize money of £2,000, along with the chance to develop your writing with the BBC. It's all part of BBC Talent and BBC7's commitment to igniting raw comedy talent.
