This appears to be from some sort of Japanese game show and it's very clever stuff.  It's a Matrix-style bullet-time game of table tennis but performed in front of a live audience with no computer special effects!

If they didn't run out of black background then you probably would never work out how it's done, but we think that seeing how they do it almost makes it even more impressive!
