Veteran (by which I mean old, of course) comedian Bill Murray's new film has
had a very good reception at the Venice Film Festival.
It premiered recently at the festival, and both critics and the public gave
it an enthusiastic thumbs up. The film, starring Murray and Scarlett Johansson,
is about a couple of people who meet up in Japan who meet entirely by accident
and have an almost melancholic and brief relationship.
Bill Murray said: "These are some of the most satisfying laughs I've ever got
in the movies."
The film is part of a 19 strong field in the "Upstream" competition. Winners
will be announced on the 6th of September.
I'd like to wish Bill Murray good luck in this endevour. Someone once told me
that there is no such thing as a bad Bill Murray performance, and off the top of
my head, I think he was right.
