Rubber-faced hyperactive comedy actor Jim Carrey is bringing the hit
70's TV action show "The Six Million Dollar Man" to the big screen.
The original series starred Lee Majors as Steve Austin, a test pilot who,
after a plane crash, is rebuilt with bionic parts that give him super human
strength (crane kept out of shot), speed (slow motion with everyone else
standing still) and vision (zoom lens with annoying bip bip bip bip bip bip
bip bip bip bip bip bip bip sound effect).
Rumour has it that the movie version will be a light hearted send up of the
original show and the era's TV action shows in general. We expect to see
the inclusion of a bionic face that can pull superhumanly stupid
expressions.
The film will be directed by "Road Trip" director Todd Phillips with
production starting once Carrey has finished filming another remake, "Fun With
Dick And Jane", alongside Cameron Diaz.
