The writers of the hit television comedy series 'Spaced' have taken a somewhat unexpected direction and have produced a Zombie Movie. Obviously it's a rather funny tongue-in-cheek Zombie movie (Ed- I've yet to see one that wasn't).  Directed by Edgar Wright, from an original screenplay by Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg, "SHAUN OF THE DEAD " is an everyday tale of life, love and the living dead focussing on a group of friends who encounter a literal night from hell at their local pub, under attack from a zombie invasion.

The comedy horror stars Simon Pegg, Kate Ashfield, Nick Frost, Dylan Moran , Lucy Davis, Penelope Wilton, Bill Nighy and Jessica Stevenson. 

A WT² production in association with Big Talk Productions, the film was shot over a period of nine weeks at Ealing Studios and on location in London and is released worldwide by Universal Pictures. The fim is produced by is Nira Park, the executive producers are Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Natascha Wharton, James Wilson and Alison Owen.

Shaun of the Dead is due to be released in April 2004.
