Variety magazine has reported
that Eddie Izzard is the latest cast member to join the making of Romance and Cigarettes, a musical comedy written and
being directed by John Turturro.
The film is being produced by the
Coen brothers and has already a stellar cast on board including; Susan Sarandon,
James Gandolfini, Kate Winslet, Steve Buscemi, and Christopher Walken. It is
about a man who is forced to choose between his wife and his mistress.
Romance and Cigarettes is being filmed
in New York at the moment and adds another Hollywood notch to Izzard’s belt
alongside Shadow of the Vampire (John
Malkovich, Willem Dafoe), Mystery Men
(Geoffrey Rush, Ben Stiller) and of course, The Avengers (Shaun Ryder, Sean
Connery).
