It appears that Graham Fellows' comic character "John
Shuttleworth" is set to have quite an active year. In 2003 he was
busy with a new Radio 4 series of "The Shuttleworths", followed by a successful
"Pillock of the Community" Tour, and we now learn that Fellows is planning a
Movie appearance for the Sheffield would-be-Pop Star.
The full length movie is set in the Shetland Islands and is called "It's Nice
Up North."
Speaking about his project, Fellows told the Liverpool Post:: "The premise of
the film is that John thinks people up north are nicer and the further north you
get the nicer they are. So to test this theory to the limit we decided to go to
the Shetland Isles
"It's a sort of drama documentary with some structured scenes like phone
conversations between John and his manager. But the natives were wonderfully
spontaneous and I am very excited about it."
It is hoped that the film will get an airing on TV, as well as a possible DVD
release. It is also expected that the film will do the rounds and the
festivals.
