According to an announcement at the Cannes Film festival, top
British standup comic Eddie Izzard is to make a documentary film about his
life. Izzard was in Cannes trying to raise funding for his project, which
is expected to see the film, called 'Diva 51', released some time next
year.
Cameras have been tailing the star for the past three years, on and off,
collecting footage both on stage, behind the scenes and of his private life.
Speaking to Hollywood trade journal 'Variety' Eddie Izzard said: "There's an
element of my wild and large, rollicking ego about doing it, but I wanted to dig
deep."
