Controversial* funny man, Jim Davidson is due to hit the silver screen
in the forthcoming film, Colour Me Kubrick. The film is based on the
true story of a man who managed to pass himself off as the auteur director,
Stanley Kubrick, during the filming of Eyes Wide Shut.
Colour Me Kubrick stars John Malkovich in the lead role with Jim
Davidson playing the part of a gay singer called Lee Pratt.
In an interview with ICCroydon.co.uk, Davidson expounded on the virtues of
the role. "It was quite good playing a gay guy," he said, "because I was
surrounded by real gay guys."
Davidson then went on to say how misunderstood he felt he is as a comedian,
"I don't get enough Indians and Pakistanis come in," he claimed and wished,
"more of the brown bits of the soup (of humanity) would come in to see the
show."
What a colourful simile.
(* controversial as far as whether or not we should be using
the word funny.)
