The Fresh Prince of Bel Air is all grown up and number one in the UK Box
Office Chart with his first romantic comedy, Hitch. The film tells the tale of a
"New York date doctor" who falls in love and finds it's much harder to live his
advice than give it.
Smith, normally known for wise-cracking action movies like Independance Day,
Men In Black and Bad Boys (we'll leave aside Wild Wild West for now), has
previously said that it was his son that inspired him to take a new direction,
at least for while, in the films he made.
"My son said 'Daddy, you don't need to save the world no more'".
The new Bruce Willis film, Hostage, went in at number two, relegating last
week's leader Boogeyman to third.
In the US, animated film Robots is number one. The film, from the makers of
Ice Age and starring Robin Williams, Ewan McGregor and many more, is all about a
robot inventor moving to the big city.
