If slapstick is your thing, if gurning gets you going and if you
regard comedy calamity as a clowning climax (that's quite enough of that -
Ed) then you'll be thrilled to know that a second Mr Bean film is in the
offing.
Rowan Atkinson is set to revive the character for a second time
to make a sequal to Bean: The Ultimate Disaster Movie. And this
time he's got help from a new source, one Simon McBurney.
For those of you not familiar with the name, Simon McBurney is
the director behind physical theatre troupe Theatre de Complicitie, and as such
has plenty of experience in all things slapstick, mimed and otherwise daft. This
should make him a perfect candidate to bring out Bean even more so than
before.
The first film was moderately successful - let's hope the second
one even more so.
