Last night saw the film premiere of the Hitchikers Guide To The Galaxy. The
long awaited, much delayed and finally here film version of the book (of the TV
series of the radio play of the towel etc etc etc).
The cast - including Martin Freeman, Bill Nighy, Sam Rockwell, Mos Def and
Alan Rickman - all attended London's Leicester Square.
Douglas
Adams widow Jane Belson said that "Douglas would go 'wow', he wouldn't
believe it."
Stephen Fry offered his own opinion, and as the Voice of the Guide who are we
to disagree with him? "It's a good story with fun and larks without sacrificing
the point of it."
The original book has sold more than 14 million copies worldwide, and created
four sequels - 'The Resturant At The End of the Universe', 'Life, the Universe
and Everything', 'So Long and Thanks For All The Fish' and 'Mostly
Harmless'.
Other celebrities at the London Premiere included former Python Terry Jones
and Fran Healy from Travis. Just for your information.
