The US Film Box Office chart shows a healthy disregard for the critics, as
Jane Fonda stars in Monster-In-Law at the top.
The film sees Fonda, back on screen after 15 years away, play the prospective
mother-in-law to co-star Jennifer Lopez and took $24m across the weekend.
The reviews I have read in the British press have slated the film.
Will Ferrell and Robert Duvall are in second place with American Football
comedy Kicking and Screaming.
However, overall figures are down on this time last year, although this
week's release of Star Wars Episode Three: Revenge of the Sith should almost
certainly apck cinemas this weekend and boost figures.
