The BBC have bought the rights to show the full-length Wallace and Gromit
film, titled The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.
The film - which saw a thirty foot high Gromit lurking about at the Cannes
Film Festival recently - is the first full length adventure for the stop-motion
pair, as they attempt to catch a crop-savaging marauder who is threatening a
vegetable competition.
Guest voices includes Peter Kay, Helena Bonham Carter and Ralph Fiennes.
Peter Sallis returns as the voice of the cheese-obsessed Wallace.
The film will be shown around 2008. It arrives in the UK on general release
later this year.
Aardman Productions, who have made all of the Wallace and Gromit stories,
also made the hit film Chicken Run, starring Mel Gibson and shown on the BBC in
2003.
