Jimmy Carr has aspirations for
the big screen and has managed to get himself a part in a forthcoming film based
on the teenage spy adventure novels by Anthony Horowitz.
Stormbreaker follows 14
year old Alex Rider as he is forcibly recruited to M16 and has Carr as a fellow
M16 agent playing opposite Ewan McGregor and amongst a formidable cast that also
includes Andy Serkis, Bill Nighy, Alicia Silverstone, Stephen Fry and Mickey
Rourke.
Carr understated his inclusion in
the cast to The Mirror as, “I get
cast because I’m something between Hugh Grant and Mr Bean – obviously closer to
Mr Bean in the looks department.”
