The Sundance Festival is taking place at the moment, and that means various
small films are hoping to get signed up to major distributors.
One such film that has succeeded is The Foot Fist Way by new director Jody
Hill, having been picked up by Momentum Pictures for distribution in the UK.
This kung-fu comedy follows Mr Simmons, a tae kwon do instructor down on his
luck. He decides to take two of his students and his best friend Mike to go
visit his martial arts idol Chuck "The Truck" Wallace.
Frankly, it all sounds like a forgotten episode from much loved TV comedy
Spaced to me, but if it's half as funny as, say, Shaolin
Soccer, then we'll be well pleased. Best of luck to
them.
