Last night saw the BAFTA's, the highlight of the British awards
ceremony.
Once more, the great and the good (and the rest) of Hollywood and British
films sat around, got drunk, and were given awards. The one we are concerned
with is Best British Film.
It's Wallace
and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit . (For those paying
attention, the picture may have provided a clue).
Yes, those lovable claymation specialists Aardman Animations have scooped a
BAFTA for their tale of one man, his dog, and a ten-foot were-rabbit. Voiced by,
amongst others, Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes and Peter Kay, the film
tells the tale of the continuing adventures of Wallace and Gromit, as they
battle to prevent a strange creature disrupting the annual vegetable
competition.
Rather luckily, the DVD is out today!
