Casting has been announced for the sequel the Jim Carey film Bruce
Almighty. The sequel is called Evan Almighty, and stars Steve Carrell (who
also starred in the 40-Year-Old
Virgin) as Evan, reprising his role from the first film.
John Goodman, Lauren Graham and Morgan Freeman (who gets to play God again,
of course) have also been confirmed, but Carrey does not feature in the
film.
The plot revolves around Evan, who is now in politics, having an audience
with God who tells him to build an Ark in preparation for a great flood.
The original made $242m - this one may fall below
that.
