It just goes to show that bad reviews can't keep a good remake down, at least
for it's opening week as The Pink Panther remake beats V For Vendetta to the UK
cinema top spot, taking £2m in its opening three days.
V For Vendetta, the comic book movie based on Alan Moore's 1980's graphic
novel, made around £1.2m.
The Pink Panther remake, starring Steve Martin and Beyonce Knowles, is
officially a remake of the original 1970's movie starring Peter Sellers.
Martin takes Sellers role as Inspector Clouseau, as well as Kevin Kline, Jean
Reno and Emily Mortimer. It has been savaged in the USA press, and hasn't
exactly been welcomed with open arms in this country,
either.
