It's the news all fans have been waiting for. Twentieth Century Fox have,
after months of speculation and rumour, confirmed that there will be a Simpsons
film.
It was all confirmed over the weekend, as US audiences waiting for Ice Age 2:
The Meltdown, got a surprise. The trailer opens, promising to introduce "the
greatest hero in American history".
In true style, we jump cut to Homer Simpson in his underwear saying "I forgot
what I was supposed to say."
The Simpsons, recently confirmed to be running through to it's 19th series
(currently the US are watching series 17), is the longest-running prime-time
entertainment series on television in the US.
The list of guest stars alone would be long enough to fill another news
article.
