In Easter 2007, Mr Bean shall return. And this time he's in France.
The sequel to the 1997 film has been greenlit, with Rowan Atkinson and
producers Tiger Aspect hoping it will do as well as the original which pulled in
£140m at the box office world wide.
Provisionally titled Bean II, although that'll certainly change, it marks a
further point of development for the character who started on terrestrial
television, moved into film with a brief side step into animation and now back
to film again
Katherine Senior from Tiger Aspect said "People seem to think you just write
it on the back on an envelope, but it takes about two to three years in-between
each apparition'.
The climax of the film is currently planned to occour during the Cannes film
festival. Expect much slapstick, silliness and rubber-faced
gurning.
