DreamWorks has found another childrens story to adapt into an animated film.
This is how Shrek started.
Punk Farm, by Jarrett J Krosockza is a simple tale of a group of farmyard
animals that form a rock band. The cast consists of a cow, a goat, a pig, a
chicken and a sheep. Suggestions as to which animal plays which instrument
welcome.
Personally, I suggest the sheep could play guitar because then he could have
a haircut that would make him look like Brian May.
Jim Hecht will adapt the book for the screen, with Kevin Messick acting as
executive producer. Head of Creative Development Bill Damaschke said:
"The whole idea behind Punk Farm is new and fresh, and truly something that
lends itself perfectly to becoming a CG comedy. Jim and Kevin both have a keen
sense for comedy and storytelling, and we're happy to have their talents behind
this project."
You can only imagine the various fast food companies trying to get the
merchandising rights.
