Comedy king Adam Sandler is celebrating in the USA today as his new movie
Click opened at the top of the box office chart, taking around £22m in its first
weekend.
The film, co-starring Kate Beckinsale, is all about a man whose life is taken
over by a remote control which can alter events around him.
Animated comedy Cars drops to second, taking around £11m, with Jack Black
comedy Nacho Libre dropping to third.
A film that I'm completely unaware of, "Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties",
which frankly sounds awful, sits at the eighth position.
Sandler has had a number of successful films in recent years, from Anger
Management starring alongside Jack Nicolson to The Wedding Singer, the first
film that really launched him in this country.
