There is new competition due for the Hollywood studios. Plans are afoot
for the development of a rival film studio to be constructed in an old military
base in Oakland, California.
It is the brainchild of none-other than those new-age auteurs of cinematic
spoofery and parody; the collective entity known as 'The Wayans Brothers'.
For reasons of their own, Marlon, Shawn, Damon and Keenan believe they need
their own studio to film their future endeavours. If you are blissfully unaware
then you should know that they are the creators of such seminal hits as
White Chicks, The
Scary Movie franchise and the imminent, horrendously looking Little
Man.
This new film sees the head of Marlon superimposed onto the body of a child
for him to portray the smallest thief in the world who then has to pretend to be
a baby to infiltrate a young couple's home to retrieve his latest booty.
Anyway, as if to perhaps lighten the negative air surrounding the idea that
they may be able to continue creating such tripe indefinitely is the
announcement that their studio may also have a theme park attached to it.
