'On The Buses' Star Tragic Suicide

Bob GrantThe star of the 1970's sitcom On The Buses, Bob Grant, has been found dead.  He was discovered in the garage of his home in the village of Twyning, near Tewkesbury with a hose pipe connected from the exhaust pipe of his car to the drivers compartment.

The 71-year-old actor, who had played bus conductor Jack Harper had suffered from a history of depression, and had attempted suicide previously.  In the late 80's he went missing for 5 days before returning home after a public appeal by his wife.
