Ricky Gervais' New Series

Gervais and Stephen Merchant are writing together again, in a top secret
project to produce a new series for the BBC. Gervais
, who has
confirmed that he turned down offers from other channels such as Channel 4 to
stay with the BBC, is not giving away anything about the new series.
However, he has confirmed that it is unlikely to be a fly-on-the-wall
documentary about an office in slough.
The pair are currently in the early stages of writing,
but Gervais told ITV's
'This Morning' programme: "We're still developing the characters. We are going
to do something else with them, I'm sure what.
"We've got a big backlog of ideas but we don't know yet what it's going to
be. It's not going to be anything to do with a documentary about an
office."
