Little Britain Comes to BBC2 Posted By Richard (22 November, 2003)

Little Britain is an off-beat comedy series
that celebrates all that is mad, bad, quirky and bonkers about the people and
places of Britain. During it's recent run on BBC Three is has accumilated
a huge popular following and achieved massive critical acclaim (including from
Funny.co.uk here
). But
not all of us yet have access to BBC Three, which is only available on Sky,
Cable, Freeview and sometimes by gaffer-taping a George Foreman grill to a
Giraffe. This journalist for one lives in a 'weak signal area' (and
doesn't have access to a Giraffe - or gaffer tape) so it doesn't matter how many
adverts the BBC show me with minor celebrities ripping their own faces off.
But before you attach a noose to a light-fitting out of
sheer despair, hold on, salvation is at hand. Little
Britain is coming to BBC2! The show written by and starring Matt Lucas
and David
Walliams
, which is based on their
highly successful Radio 4 series, will be starting on BBC 2 on 1st December
2003. If you consider yourself to be a comedy fan of any merit, then
missing this is not an acceptable option.
