It hardly seems like another whole year has gone by, but last night saw
the 2003 British Comedy Awards ceremony, so it must have done!
Unfortunately, on the whole, the results are a little boring this
year.
Bizarrely there was no award whatsoever for stand-up
comedy, and even more bizarrely, TWO awards went to Ant & Dec. One of
these was the "One.Tel people's choice award" but we are of course sure this
has nothing to do with them being the only ones on ITV where the voting was
advertised. Oh no.
The highlights this year were Jonathan Ross finally
taking home an award for himself, after 12 years of presenting the cermony, and
David
Walliams picking up "Best Newcomer" for his work alongside Matt Lucas in the
brilliant "Little
Britain
".
For those of you who are still interested all the winners are listed
