To mark the tenth anniversary of the ground-breaking comedy series, "The Day
Today" is being launched on DVD next month. The show was written by
Armando Iannucci and Chris Morris, who was later subject to 'Daily-Mail-acide'
after his Brass-Eye special about the media attitude to the topic of
paedophilia.
The Day Today was, for those of you who don't know, a fast-paced spoof news
programme. As well as launching Chris Morris into the mainstream, it also
featured the first outing of Steve Coogan's Alan Partridge.
In addition to the episodes aired on BBC2, the two-disc set will also include
six original spoof news segments, which were part of a never-before aired pilot
for the show.
The Day
Today DVD is available to pre-order now from the Funny.co.uk
Comedy Shop for the special price of just
£13.99.
