Al Murray, the Pub Landlord character comedian, will be taking part in a new
reality TV show featuring award winning chef Gordon Ramsey. More used to
pulling pints than cooking pies (we assume he has someone else working for him
in the kitchens out back, making all the bar snacks), Murray will be one of ten
celebrities who have just a week to learn how to become chefs.
The celebrities will be working under the expert guidance of the Michelin
Star winning Gordon Ramsey, the ex-footballer turned chef who's as famous for
his temper as his cooking. Those who fall foul of Gordon's wrath will be
voted off as the two week show progresses.
Other celebrities taking part in the programme include Edwina Currie, Roger
Cook and James Dreyfus.
The show, which is to be hosted by Angus Deyaton, will be shown on ITV1 in
the summer.
