We recently saw Sir Norman
Wisdom’s character be used as a focus for sketches on ITV1’s The
All Star Comedy Show , now the man himself is to reappear on our screens
inCoronation
Street.
Sir Norman,
89, is the latest comedian to be signed up for a cameo appearance following Peter
Kay
’s brief
visit to Weatherfield earlier this year. He is to play a friend of Jack
Duckworth’s, Ernie Crabbe, who Jack is trying to palm off a second-hand exercise
bike on.
The episode will be aired at the
end of June. Sir Norman said, “I'm thrilled to be in Corrie. It is one of
my favourite shows,” and then totally failed to fall over and scream, “MR
GRIMSDALE!”
