As new and original ideas in television and movie making seem to
continue getting fewer and further between, the word "remake" is popping up ever
more frequently.
The latest TV relic to get a 21st century make-over is geriatric murder
solver, Miss Marple, who is set to appear in a series of four Agatha Christie
murder mysteries later this year.
The first of these, The Body In The Library, will
feature Absolutely Fabulous star Joanna Lumley as the pension-claiming crime
sleuth's friend Dolly Bantry. David
Walliams of Little
Britain
is also set to appear in the
series, although no details have yet been released about what he'll be getting
up to. Getting murdered perhaps?
