Just a week after hit sitcom "Frasier" came to an end, it's star Kelsey
Grammar has already found alternative employment. He is set to appear in a
new sketch based comedy show commissioned by Fox broadcasting.
"The Kelsey Grammar Sketch Show" is thought to be based on
ITV's "The Sketch Show" but, as is written in the U.S. constitution, any remake
of a non-U.S. TV show must, by law, bear little or no resemblance to the
original, tone it down, simplify it and ham-fistedly suck the very life out of
it until it's nothing but a near lifeless shell writhing pathetically in the
gutter of comedy history. So obviously we're quite optomistic.
Apparently Grammar will act as the host of the show, introducing
sketches featuring and ensemble of comedy performers. Fox have ordered six
episodes of the show but the expected transmission date has yet to be
made public.
