BBC Three has bought the rights to show the US version of the Office in the UK. After the original was a surprise hit in the US, winning two Golden Globes, a reworking was ineveitable, and now a new version of David Brent will be crossing back over the pond later this year.

Fortunately for UK comedy fans, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant have remained as Executive Producers, so we can hope it'll keep some of the original humour.

The US version is set in the office of a company called Dundler Miflin in Scranton, Pennyslyvania, and stars Steve Carrel playing Michael Scott. You may remember Steve Carrel from such projects as The Daily Show and Bruce Almighty. Then again, you may not.
