McCain's have been conducting a poll in the run up to Red Nose Day '05 to
find the funniest TV show of all time - and it's The Office that's come out on
top.
The misadventures of David Brent beat Fawlty Towers and Only Fools and Horses
into second and third place, with the highest placed American entry being The
Simpsons at no.4.
"It's great to see British sitcoms have come out on top again," said a
spokeswoman. "Its good news for British comedy fans everywhere - British is
undoubtedly best in the comedy stakes."
The top ten results are as follows:
