Ex-Spice girl, Melanie Brown seems to be ditching her flailing pop
career in favour of a life in comedy.
Scary has written a semi-autobiographical sit-com script much along the lines
of Sex And The City that she fancies having a part in. Supposedly based
on the sexy adventures she has had in the two years since she moved to
California with daughter Phoenix Chi. "My music isn't that important to me
anymore. I'm much more fussed about my sit-com," she stated.
Talks with TV execs for a pilot episode are thought to be at quite an
advanced stage and although it is supposed to be a comedy and looking at the
problems of balancing a career and private life in Hollywood will also touch on
serious topics like cancer.
A close friend of Brown's said, "Mel is convinced the show will be a big hit.
(She) now sees herself as an actress and writer more than singer. It's something
she always wanted to do."
If all goes well for her then she could be have the entire twelve part series
produced. If all goes well for us then she'll be as good at comedy as she is at
music and we'll never hear from it again.
