Channel 4's new adult entertainment, er, channel will launch with a piece of
satire about politican David Blunkett's afair with publisher Kimberley
Quinn.
A Very Private Secretary is the first programme scheduled on More4, launching
next Monday night.
Mr Blunkett is to be played by Bernard Hill, who has said "There's Blunkett
the human being and Blunkett the politician - at some point they got confused.
But he's still a human being and still a bloke who deserves a certain amount of
sympathy for the predicament he found himself in. He got dragged into a
situation that I don't think he was prepared to handle."
The satire uses the events of Mr Blunkett's recent past to highlight some of
the problems in the UK's Labour party Government, mixing in some 'unpleasant
truths'.
More4 is targeting over 35s with a schedule dominated by factual programming,
drama and movies combined with some US imports including Curb Your Enthusiasm
and the sixth series of the West Wing.
The channel is available via Freeview, Sky and other
means.
