The American television industry awards spin-off nominations have been
announced and, once again, features a fine array of British talent but this time
we have a better chance of nabbing something because it is for "excellence in
international television programming" rather than just what is aired in the
US.
Yes, the International Emmys are due to be announced on Monday 21st November
and amongst those boring dramas and factual programmes that we're not interested
in sees Little Britain receiving two nods; one for the show itself and
one for David Walliams for Best Performance By An Actor. Walliams goes
head-to-head against Rhys Ifans for his depiction of Peter Cook in Channel
Four's Not Only But Always.
Catherine Tate is up for a Best Performance By An Actress for The Best
Bits of Catherine Tate and Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat TV Special is
up for best Non-Scripted Entertainment and is up against Top Gear.
