Hooray and hooray, sing loud all ye Keifer Sutherland fans - he's going to be
on the Simpsons.
The star of 24 will be playing the role of a US Army colonel in an episode
where Homer accidentally joins the army. Expect plenty of in-jokes and scary
intensity.
Other guest stars confirmed for the new series include the White Stripes,
voicing themselves, Natalie Portman, Eric Idle and Dr Phil McGraw who is no
doubt going to be up against the Simpsons very own Dr Phil.
The new series will also incorporate the shows 400th episode, to be shown in
May.
In related news Kelsey Grammer is to receive an Emmy later in the year for
his work as Bart's nemesis, Sideshow Bob.
And just to remind you all, the Simpsons film is confirmed, in production,
and will be out sometime next year. The characters will be twenty years old in
2007 - scary, isn't it?
