Armando Iannucci in New Political Comedy

Armando Iannucci is to front a new political comedy show on Channel 4. The show, named "Gash", will be shown over four nights starting 28th April.

The show will be an up-to-date, topical political comedy. It will be filmed shortly before transmission in front of a live studio audience.

A Channel 4 spokesman said: "Gash will try and compress 24 hours of the day's events into 24 minutes of talk, jokes, VT footage, blindingly well-informed opinion, utter lack of balance and Armando Iannucci."
