Fans of the great Eddie Izzard (a particular favourite of ours here at Funny.co.uk) can hear, and indeed see, him talking about England, Englishness in a new series next month.

You can catch this new series by drilling a hole through the wall so you can see your neighbour's telly, or by shovelling wads of cash into the enormous pockets of an Australian media dictator.  Yes! It's on Sky Digital.  The Discovery Channel to be exact, at 9pm on June the 4th, 11th, and 18th,  Which is a Wednesday for those of you without calendars.

Each episode will explore how many of our beloved English, and British, customs aren't home-grown at all, but stolen from other countries.  It's also interesting to note that Wales was actually named by ancient german invaders and roughly translates into "the territory of the alien race".  We always thought all that phlegm was unnatural!
