Comedian Mackenzie Crook, best known as the somewhat deranged Gareth in "The
Office", may well be somewhat deranged in reality too.
In an interview set to appear in next month's Loaded magazine he speaks of
his time, as a child, visiting his uncle's tobacco farm in Zimbabwe.
Apparently their "Christmas treat" involved driving a Land Rover to the edge of
a field, then shining a spot-light to mesmerise rabbits.
Ok, so that's not too bad so far, but what followed was his uncle leaping out
of the car, chasing the rabbit, catching it and then kicking it about.
"I was too young to join in" reminisced Mackenzie, "but I'd lie awake
at night and dream of the day when I'd be old enough to play
rabbit football." If only all us had such fond childhood memories...
hmmm.
