If you find yourself in a situation involving Durex and laughter then you're
probably not having a good evening. Unless you are a Clown-Prostitute who
happens to be watching Fawlty Towers. Or alternativly (if Clown
prostitution and/or Fawlty Towers does not take your fancy), but you
still want an evening of condom-associated humour then the "Stand Up with Durex
Performa - Comedy Tour" might just be for you.
Durex have sponsored a fantastic line-up of some of Britains top stand-up
comics, bundled them into the back of some kind of mini-bus, and taken them on
the road for your enjoyment.
The tour begins in Birmingham on 7th October, where it runs until 11th
October at Cannon Hill Park. From there it goes on to Newcastle on 17th
October at Spillers Quay for three nights, Glasgow 23rd October at St.
Georges Square for four nights, and Manchester on 30th October for five
nights.
Comics who will be performing include Perrier Award Winner Demetri
Martin, 'Office' star Machenzie Crook, Milton Jones, Shazia Mirza winner
of the Hackney Empire best New Act Award 2001, and the BBC National Talent Award
Winner Alan Carr.
In a statement (possibly outside the Durex Factory*) Durex Marketing Manager
Paul Rudge said: "This is the inaugural 'Stand-up with Durex Performa' comedy
tour and we are delighted to be sponsoring this new comedy festival in
association with our recently launched Durex Performa condom."
Tickets are on sale now at all Ticketmaster outlets priced at £14 www.ticketweb.co.uk or call 0870 900 4555.

less Umpa-lumpas. And as for the rivers of chocolate... lets not stoop to
that level.
