The Liverpool leg of this year’s Funny Women competition (sponsored by Babycham) may have to be scrapped after only two entrants have put their name down for it.

Producer of the show, Lynn Parker stated that it would be a great shame to have to move this leg of the charity event to London after the great history of comedic talent the city has previously honed: Jimmy Tarbuck, Ken Dodd, Stan Boardman … should I go on?
