If it’s not bad enough that we
oldies find kids invading our lives from every angle and proving that they’re
better at it than we are (work, pubs, films, TV, football, etc) now the BBC is
paving the way for the offensively talented erks to get some major exposure on
the comedy scene. Pretty bling, huh?
Radio
Scotland
is
hosting a competition to find the hottest new Scottish teenage comedian. The
winner will get a space on a comedy workshop, a spot at the Edinburgh Festival
and another one on air. Bangin'!
It’s open to anyone with ‘teen’
in their age (13 -19) and thinks they’re pretty good at stand-up, sketch writing
or comedy acting (which is every teenager in the World since they all think
they’re oh-so-clever at everything). All they need do is enter a five minute
recording or a script to Radio Scotland Comedy Challenge, BBC Radio Scotland,
Room 4117, Queen Margaret Drive, Glasgow G12 8DG by June 25th. If
they can be bovvered. You know? Whatever, right.
