Ireland is to be host to a second annual comedy festival starting later this
year. Kilkenny’s well established Murphy’s Cat Laughs Festival attracts
30,000 people each year and is now to be joined by the Bulmers International
Comedy Festival in Dublin.
It is to be a showcase of some of the top international comedians which will
take place in 16 venues throughout Dublin between the 12th and 26th September.
As well as the featured venues there will also be a pub trail across the city
with a wide selection of acts.
Amongst the comedians listed will be Lenny Henry, Bill Bailey , Emo Phillips,
Jasper Carrott, Jerry Sadowitz and Ireland’s very own Ed Byrne.
