When there aren't too
many disabled people in the audience and Jim Davidson
actually goes on stage to peddle his not-so-unique brand of intolerant tripe,
you would expect him at the very least to come up with his own material.
But as the sun continues to set all too slowly on his career, and new ways
to slag off minorities begin to allude his tiring mind, it appears that
Davidson must now resort to stealing other peoples' jokes in order to
sufficiently entertain the like-minded drones that constitute his audience.
Comedian Jimmy Carr is all too aware of this. When Davidson approached
him after the 2002 Royal Variety Performance to complement him on a particular
joke about an overweight woman Carr had no idea that 18 months later his joke
would be turning up as part of Davidson's act on his BBC show "Jim
Davidson: On The Road".
Needless to say, Carr was not best pleased when he found out.
He is currently seeking legal advice and is demanding a full
apology from Davidson. Carr might have to join the queue behind women, the
disabled, various races and numerous other minority groups, but we wish him the
best of luck!
