Glasgow Comedy Festival Line-Up
Announced.
Paul Merton, Jack Dee, Harry Hill, Jimmy Carr, Julian Clary and Joan Rivers
are amongst the acts starring in the 3rd Glasgow International Comedy
Festival.
The Festival runs from March 10th to the 26th, and Tommy Sheppard, director
of festival organiser the StandOut Comedy Agency said, "We’ve really stretched
ourselves this year. We hope to improve on last year’s sales of 22,000 and go
for 30,000 to 40,000 this year. We’ve got a great mix of international stars and
home-grown talent."
The Festival consists of more than 200 acts, performing at 30 venues across
Glasgow including the Royal Concert Hall and the Theatre Royal.
There are also eight children’s shows, double the number of last year.
Organisers hope to double that number again for next year’s Festival.
