Charity events seem to be all the rage right now, and here's news of
another one for a good cause. Four of the biggest (by which we think they mean
best) Irish comedians will be performing at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London on
Sunday 15th May to raise money for Aisling - Return to Ireland. The charity
works to support Irish people in London who are homeless, isolated, vulnerable
and alone.
The four comedians in question are as follows!
Ardal O'Hanlon has been the patron of Aisling for over ten years, maintaining
his commitment to the cause whilst also appearing in Father Ted and My
Hero.
Host of The Friday Night Project Jimmy Carr, infamous for his British
middle class persona and dry comedy style. He also performed for Aisling two
years ago.
Perrier Award Winner Tommy Tiernan , also part of the Father Ted cast
and previous presenter of the BBC Stand Up Show.
And lastly, Ed Byrne, who will be hosting the event. A strong observational
comic who sees the ridiculous in everything.
These four will be joined by a selection of up and coming Irish
comedians
