Sunday 10th April will see the launch of a brand new regular comedy night
that will feature the most exciting comedic talent from the UK and beyond.
Running fortnightly on Sunday Nights until July, 'Bottle Rocket' is an
entertainment night with a twist, showcasing stand up, sketch and variety acts.
Located in the popular Bar Firefly venue, in Leicester's City Centre, confirmed
headliners include Double PerrierNominee Reginald D Hunter, Former Leicester
Mercury Comedian of the Year Rhod Gilbert, Nige, Seymour Mace, John Oliver and
Jason Manford.
Launching the night, promoter Adnan Ahmed said:
"With the success of the annual Leicester Comedy Festival, it is clear that
the city of Leicester is devoted to comedy. Bottle Rocket is a night with a
difference and will bring top flight comedy to the city on a more regular basis.
We have scoured the country and are confident that we are highlighting the stars
of tomorrow"
Future shows include such thrilling talent as the BBC New Comedian of the
Year, Andrew Lawrence, Russell Howard, Dan Nightingale, Colin & Fergus,
Josie Long and Stuart Hudson.
Dates for the shows are as follows: Sunday 10th April, Sunday 24th April,
Sunday 8th May, Sunday 22nd May, Sunday 5th June and Sunday 19th June.
